About the Kazakhstan-Japan Friendship Association
The Kazakhstan-Japan Friendship Association is a private organization dedicated to
promoting cultural, academic, and industrial collaboration between Japan and the
Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Republic of Kazakhstan boasts the largest economy in Central Asia and is rapidly
strengthening its capabilities in digitalization, energy transition, and as a global
logistics hub. Japan and Kazakhstan marked the 30th anniversary of diplomatic
relations in 2022, and since the establishment of these ties, we have walked together as
trusted partners.
What is particularly noteworthy is the value of "coexistence with nature" shared by
both nations: Kazakhstan, with its diverse ecosystems breathing across a vast
territory, and Japan, which has long cherished and utilized the blessings of nature.
This shared sentiment toward our planet can be described as a "Will of the Earth."
With this "Will of the Earth" in mind, our Association believes that the possibilities for
cooperation will expand on an unprecedented scale. - Significance of Establishment
Where Resources Meet Technology Kazakhstan is a resource-rich nation possessing
abundant mineral resources, including energy and rare metals. Japan, on the other
hand, possesses world-class advanced technology to optimize these resources and
create new value.
By fusing "Kazakhstan's Resources" with "Japan's Technology" and leveraging our
shared "Will of the Earth," we aim to solve energy problems and achieve industrial
sophistication. Our goal is to contribute to the development not only of our two
countries but of the international community as a whole, realizing a better society. - Purpose of Establishment
The Association will promote sustainable development through activities centered on
